Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2025-12-03T05:01Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2025-12-03T05:01:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Characterized by an amplification of magnetic field components with Btotal increasing from 8nT at 2025-12-03T05:01Z to 15nT at 2025-12-03T12:48Z. An increase in density is observed alongside the amplification of magnetic field components, reaching 13 p/cc at 2025-12-03T10:07Z, while a decrease in temperature is observed at this time. As a result, this signature is likely associated with a corotating interaction region preceding a coronal hole high speed stream from a coronal hole centered near latitude N18 which reached the central meridian on 2025-11-30. This signature is still developing and analysis is ongoing.
